Subject: Thank you
Dear Anil
Dipa and I arrived back in the UK yesterday evening. I wanted to thank you for arranging such an excellent trip for us around Agra and Rajasthan. We really enjoyed it and saw some beautiful sights. I think we could have used a day or two extra as we covered some long distances in quite a short time.I will certainly recommend you to any of my friends who might arrange a similar trip.
The hotels were generally very good. The Balsamand Garden Retreat was excellent, very relaxed and beautiful setting. The Comfort Inn in Delhi was actually very good and well located - you should certainly use that for your future clients. However, we were disappointed with the Karohi Haveli in Udaipur: it is still unfinished and the room was very basic.
Regarding payment, my father spoke to the branch manager at his State Bank, who confirmed that the cheque should now have cleared. Have you now received the funds? If not, please let me know and I will ask my father to follow up.As a final point, my parents are going to be in Kolkata until end January, and might like to visit Agra for 2-3 days. If they decide to do so, I will contact you to arrange their trip.
Thank you again for all your help and assistance in arranging such a memorable holiday.
kind regards
Soumen

Hi Sunil
We have been back a week now but my head is still full of the fantastic experiences from our trip!
Thanks to you and your colleagues we all had a fantastic time. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, and things were so well organised. I have already recommended you to two friends!
It was perfect for what we were seeking - a cultural experience, for all the senses. The guides and drivers were all very good.
Feedback on hotels (although, as I say, everyone was very friendly and helpful):
- Delhi Siddarth - good standard, modern, nothing exciting, but a no risk hotel for the first night
- Kathmandu Yak & Yeti - good again, but the rooms are in need of some refurbishment/redecorating, since they are dark, especially the bathrooms
- Varanasi - Ramada Plaza - good, but a fairly standard 'western' feel, could have been anywhere
- Khajuraho - Raddison - very new, very bright and light, very clean. But no lift for rooms on first floor.
- Agra - Grand Imperial - we liked this place - it was a bit quirky, but huge rooms and nice grounds to relax in. Food was limited and slow
- Ranthambore - Dev Vilas - excellent - new, clean, bright, exceptionally friendly people
- Jaipur - Samode Haveli - magnificent! The rooms we had were excellent - a real sense of being in a palace, and a great pool area.
- Delhi - Intercontinental Grand - impressive if untypical. Again, a good way to end, given the resources of such a hotel, BUT, and very important, the pool was shut for refurbishment - indeed, does it have an outdoor pool? Somewhere to relax outside??
A suggestion: the buffet in hotels is always OK, but not inspiring, and a tourist has no idea where else to go, so it would be a good idea to have a (short, perhaps 5) list of alternatives
for meals out. For example, in Kathmandu Rum Doodle was well worth going to, great fun, but the place we were taken to in Agra wasn't. I don't imagine most people would eat 'out',
but having an option would help, and two weeks of buffets is too much!
Overall, a wonderful experience, and well organised.
Thanks again.

Dear Anil,
we are just back from our tour and I want to congratulate and thank you for
the EXCELLENT organisation. We enjoyed every single bit of it.
Everything went very, very, very smooth. The airport pick-up, the
transportation with the mini van, the train ride, the drivers, the guides
and the hotels were best-of-class.
Your organisation (and your partners') is run in a very professional way. We
could already see it in the prompt communication, the folder with the tour
description and the tickets.....but it was acknowledged over and over during
the tour.
We will recommend your organisation to all our friends and colleagues and
please do not hesitate to use our name as a refernce.
THANKS AGAIN
Br
Ronny

Dear Anil,
We would like to thank you for helping to make out visit to
India so good, the organisation you put into place was, on
the whole excellent. All the different tour companies you
used were very good, we only had one small hiccough, and that
was the late arrival of the Rep. at the train station in Agra.
The transfer at Bombay to the International terminal worked
out within the time allowed.
Apart from that one small thing everything ran smoothly, every
flight, pick-up, guide and hotel were as listed in the itinerary.
We would have no hesitation in recommending you to anyone
we know who wishes to take a holiday in India and we would
once again like to thank you for all that you did.
Regards

Namaste
Anil,
We wish to say how much we enjoyed our visit to India. The
itinerary was well organized and the representatives were
helpful and courteous. The hotels were comfortable and clean
but we had problems with three of the hotels: the Broadway
in Delhi and the hotel India in Varanasi had noisy ventilation
systems which disturbed our sleep. The hotel Amar in Agra
did not provide the Murghal room as specified until we requested
the change. The other hotels - Bissau Palace and Usha Bundela
were very stylish, comfortable and most satisfactory.
The drivers were skillful, punctual and helpful. Our driver
from Delhi to Agra Mr. Radhe-Shyam Yadav was especially helpful
and attentive. He was friendly and polite and most obliging.
We would recommend him as a driver, to clients when they book
a tour with your company.
Overall an interesting and enjoyable holiday.
Yours sincerely
Mohammed Lanjri and party.

Hi
Anil,
Just wanted to say "thank you" for arranging our
trip to India which ran very smoothly. We had a wonderful
time in your country and will actively promote your company
with our friends and family. We will be looking to book our
holiday to Kerala with you.
Is there any news on the refund of the airfare for the Simla
to Delhi flight. We gave Vijay the e-ticket confirmation which
was stamped as cancelled by the airport official.

Subject: Our India Trip
Hi
Anil.
India was fascinating and we your tour was extremely well
organized. Here are our comments:
1. Every time we traveled we were very happy with they way
things worked out.The people meeting us and taking us to the
various destinations were always on time, and always made
it easy for us. All of the drivers were excellent and we particularly
liked Nagar. This is very important for someone traveling
far from home, and we think you excelled in this area.
2. We were very happy with all the hotels except for the Ideal
Tower. We generally travel three star boutique to four star
in our country, but decided to be cautious in India and to
travel four star, five star. One reason was because we noticed,
when we were reading all the Internet reviews, that most Indian
hotels rated themselves higher (sometimes two stars higher)
than the official travel reviews. Since we generally like
boutique hotels, even though we were a little worried before
we got there, we very much liked the Shervani and its staff
(and we were upgraded to a suite, which was very nice). We
thought the neighborhood and the shopping bazaar near the
Shervani were terrific. But we also liked all the other hotels.
3. As Barbara noted in her recent message to you, the guides
were generally very good, and were very nice, although there
was a wide variation between the best and the worst. Furthermore,
the forts, temples, ruins and other sites that we toured were
well worth seeing. Indeed we very much liked Orcha - we had
originally wanted to eliminate Orcha, but you convinced us
to go, and we were glad you did. Your tour sites were well
chosen.
4. The Ideal Tower was dirty, particularly the fourth floor
hallway where our room was located. Our room was only a little
better. The hot water in the two rooms did not work the first
night and the refrigerator did not work in either room. There
was no business center. While some of the younger, less experienced
employees were very nice, overall the staff at this hotel
were the worst we had the entire trip. They were generally
(but not always) very unhelpful. As you know, someone broke
into and rifled through Barbara's suitcase; fortunately she
did not leave anything valuable in her suit case when we went
on our tour, so nothing was stolen. However, this made the
broken lock in the room more worrisome, but when she asked
the hotel to fix the lock, the hotel refused despite the fact
that it would not take more than ten or fifteen minutes to
fix the lock. The representative from the local travel company
ended up spending four hours at the hotel just to get them
to give Barbara and Nancy another room. Even then, I think
the hotel tried to charge more money, despite the fact that
they downsized Barbara and Nancy's room, so they ended up
getting a worse room than they had paid for. Nancy tried to
cash a travelers check to change some currency, but the desk
refused to accept the travelers check, claiming that Nancy's
signature did not look like Nancy's signature (and despite
the fact that she gave them a passport with her picture and
it was totally clear that Nancy was Nancy). Call it what you
want - if this is a four star hotel, it is the worst four
star hotel we have ever stayed in, and is actually worse than
most of the three star hotels we have experienced. The Ideal
Hotel, fortunately, was the only major complaint we had with
the entire trip, and the other parts were so good that they
more than made up for the problems at that hotel.
Thank you very much for all the information you provided to
us prior to our trip, all of the options you discussed with
us, and your willingness to continually answer our questions.
That is very important to most travelers and makes your itinerary
and tour more attractive. We also thought we got very good
value for the cost of the trip - the amount you charged us
was very reasonable and we are glad that we did business with
you. We wish you the best of luck in the future, and would
be willing to give you a good recommendation to anyone who
asks.
Best regards,
Paul and Judith Samson. |
